1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the GoodFetch website, including its Instagram Reels, Instagram photo, Instagram carousel and TikTok video downloader tools.
By visiting GoodFetch or submitting a link through one of its tools, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or its services.
These Terms apply to all visitors and users, whether they access GoodFetch from a desktop browser, mobile browser or another supported device.
2. Eligibility
You may use GoodFetch only if you are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you should use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
GoodFetch is not intended for anyone who is prohibited from using online services under applicable law.
3. What GoodFetch provides
GoodFetch provides browser-based tools that attempt to process supported, publicly accessible Instagram and TikTok media URLs. Depending on the link and available source data, a tool may display media information or provide one or more temporary download options.
The service is designed for supported public links only. It does not provide access to private profiles, followers-only posts, login-protected media, deleted content, paywalled material or content protected by technical access controls.
GoodFetch may rely on hosting, security, content-delivery or media-processing providers to operate parts of the service. The exact result available for a submitted link can depend on those providers and on the source platform.
4. No social media login required
GoodFetch does not require you to sign in with an Instagram or TikTok account. You must not submit social media passwords, one-time login codes, private authentication tokens, browser session cookies or another person's account credentials.
GoodFetch support will never need your Instagram or TikTok password to investigate a downloader issue.
5. Lawful and responsible use
You may process or download media only when you:
- Own the content yourself.
- Have permission from the creator or applicable rights holder.
- Hold a valid license covering your intended use.
- Have another lawful basis under the laws that apply to you.
Public visibility does not make a photo, video, audio track, caption or other creative work copyright-free. Downloading a file does not transfer ownership or automatically grant permission to publish, edit, monetize, redistribute or commercially use it.
You are responsible for complying with copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract and other laws, as well as any source-platform terms that apply to your activity.
6. Prohibited uses
You must not use GoodFetch to:
- Access or attempt to access private, restricted, age-limited, region-blocked or login-protected media.
- Bypass paywalls, authentication, platform restrictions, creator blocks or technical access controls.
- Download, copy, publish or distribute content in a way that infringes copyright or other rights.
- Harass, stalk, threaten, defame, impersonate, exploit or invade the privacy of another person.
- Collect private information or conduct unauthorized surveillance.
- Submit passwords, session cookies, login tokens or other account credentials.
- Use bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers or other automated systems to make excessive or bulk requests.
- Evade rate limits, security controls, request limits, content restrictions or abuse-prevention measures.
- Probe, scan, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
- Upload, transmit or distribute malware, harmful code, spam or fraudulent material.
- Resell, mirror, frame or commercialize access to GoodFetch without prior written permission.
- Misrepresent ownership, permission, identity or authority in a support or copyright request.
- Use the service for any activity prohibited by applicable law.
7. User responsibility for downloaded media
You are solely responsible for deciding whether a download and your intended use of that media are lawful. GoodFetch does not review every submitted link, verify ownership or determine whether a particular use qualifies as fair use, fair dealing, public domain use or another legal exception.
You are also responsible for:
- Checking the identity and ownership of the media you process.
- Obtaining any required consent, permission, license or attribution.
- Reviewing downloaded files before opening, sharing or editing them.
- Maintaining sufficient device storage and compatible playback software.
- Complying with laws and contractual obligations in your jurisdiction.
8. Creator and rights-holder requests
Creators, copyright owners and authorized representatives may submit a request concerning specifically identified content. Where reasonably appropriate and technically practical, GoodFetch may restrict a source URL, media identifier or related processing result.
A GoodFetch restriction does not remove the original media from Instagram, TikTok, search engines or another third-party platform. Requests concerning content hosted elsewhere should also be submitted directly to the relevant hosting platform.
Reporting requirements and review procedures are explained in the Copyright Policy.
9. Temporary processing and storage
GoodFetch may process submitted URLs, public media information and temporary download references to complete a request. Media may be streamed, proxied, cached or placed in temporary storage when technically required.
GoodFetch is not intended to function as permanent cloud storage, a media archive, a backup service or a searchable library of submitted content. Temporary references may expire, become unavailable or be removed without notice.
Additional information about technical logs, data processing and retention is available in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
GoodFetch does not claim ownership of media created or published by Instagram users, TikTok users or other third parties. Rights in that media remain with the relevant creators, publishers, licensors and rights holders.
The GoodFetch name, logo, original website text, interface design, graphics and code are protected to the extent provided by applicable intellectual-property law. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or create a misleading imitation of the GoodFetch service or branding without authorization.
Instagram, Meta, TikTok, ByteDance and related names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. GoodFetch uses platform names only to identify the services associated with supported public links.
11. Independent service and third-party platforms
GoodFetch is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by or operated by Instagram, Meta, TikTok or ByteDance.
Third-party platforms have their own terms, policies, technical systems and content rules. You are responsible for complying with any third-party terms that apply to your use of those services.
GoodFetch does not control whether a third-party platform changes a URL format, removes content, restricts access, alters media quality, blocks a request or discontinues a feature.
12. External links and advertising
GoodFetch may contain advertisements or links to websites and services operated by third parties. Those external services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
An advertisement or external link does not necessarily mean that GoodFetch endorses the advertiser, product, service, claim or linked website. Any communication or transaction with a third party is between you and that third party.
13. Service availability and changes
GoodFetch may change, restrict, suspend or discontinue a tool, feature, supported link type or part of the service at any time. Changes may be made because of maintenance, security, abuse, provider availability, platform updates, legal requirements, technical limits or business decisions.
GoodFetch does not guarantee that:
- Every submitted public link will work.
- A specific format, resolution or quality will be available.
- A download will be free of visible platform or creator-added marks.
- Media information will always be complete, current or accurate.
- The service will remain uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
- A feature available today will remain available in the future.
14. Privacy
Your use of GoodFetch is also subject to the Privacy Policy. That policy explains how submitted URLs, technical request information, cookies, analytics, advertising technologies and support messages may be processed.
15. No warranties
GoodFetch is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no express or implied warranty is made regarding availability, accuracy, reliability, security, compatibility, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
GoodFetch does not warrant that downloaded files will be complete, compatible, free from harmful code or lawful for your intended use. You use the service and any resulting files at your own risk.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoodFetch and its operators, service providers and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
This includes, without limitation, loss or damage connected with:
- Unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate or incompatible download results.
- Loss of files, data, profits, revenue, goodwill or business opportunities.
- Third-party platforms, advertisements, websites, products or services.
- Unauthorized downloading, publication, modification or redistribution of media.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights disputes.
- Malicious software, device problems, service interruptions or security incidents.
- Legal or platform consequences resulting from a user's conduct.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. Where those rules apply, these provisions operate only to the maximum extent allowed by law and do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Responsibility for claims caused by misuse
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses and reasonable costs that result from your unlawful use of GoodFetch, your infringement of another person's rights, your violation of these Terms or material information you knowingly misrepresent to the service.
18. Restriction or termination of access
GoodFetch may restrict, block or terminate access to all or part of the service when reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to suspected unlawful, abusive or harmful activity.
- Protect the website, its users, creators or service providers.
- Enforce rate limits, verified rights restrictions or security controls.
- Respond to a legal request or regulatory obligation.
- Address repeated infringement or attempts to bypass a restriction.
- Enforce these Terms.
You may stop using GoodFetch at any time. Because the service does not require a user account, no account cancellation process is normally required.
19. Changes to these Terms
GoodFetch may update these Terms when its tools, providers, policies or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current published version.
Your continued use of GoodFetch after revised Terms are published means that the revised Terms apply to your later use. If you do not agree with an update, you must stop using the service.
20. Applicable law, disputes and severability
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the GoodFetch operator and your use of the service, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that applies in your place of residence.
Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties should attempt to resolve a dispute through good-faith communication where reasonably possible. An unresolved dispute may be submitted to a court or authority that has lawful jurisdiction.
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
21. Entire agreement and no waiver
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy and Disclaimer, form the legal information governing your use of GoodFetch.
If GoodFetch does not immediately enforce a provision, that does not waive the right to enforce it later.
22. Contact GoodFetch
Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@thegoodfetch.com.
