Respect for creators and copyright owners
GoodFetch helps users process supported public media links. Use it only when you own the content, have the owner's permission, or otherwise have a lawful reason to download it.
Public visibility does not make a photo, video, audio track, caption or other work copyright-free. Creators and other rights holders may still hold copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity and related rights in that material.
Users are responsible for determining whether they have the legal right to download, copy, edit, store, publish, share or commercially use any media obtained through GoodFetch.
How GoodFetch interacts with third-party media
GoodFetch provides browser-based tools for supported public Instagram and TikTok URLs. Depending on the tool and source data, the service may retrieve media details, create a temporary download reference, or send available media to the user's device.
GoodFetch does not claim ownership of media published by Instagram users, TikTok users or other third parties. Processing a public link does not transfer copyright. It also does not grant a license to reuse the content.
The service is not a permanent public archive of third-party media. GoodFetch may retain limited technical information when needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of a verified restriction.
Who can submit a copyright request?
A copyright complaint may be submitted by:
- The owner of the copyrighted work.
- An agent authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- A creator requesting review of media they originally produced.
- A legal representative acting with appropriate authority.
GoodFetch may request proof of identity, ownership or authorization when reasonably necessary to verify a request.
How to submit a copyright complaint
Send copyright and creator-rights requests to contact@thegoodfetch.com with the subject line Copyright Complaint.
A complete notice should include:
- Your full legal name and, where applicable, the name of the organization you represent.
- Your email address and another reliable method of contact, when available.
- Identification of the copyrighted work or protected material involved.
- The original publication URL or other evidence showing the work you claim to own.
- The exact Instagram, TikTok or other public source URL connected with the complaint.
- The relevant GoodFetch page or tool through which the link was processed.
- A clear explanation of the restriction or other action you are requesting.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the reported use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or applicable law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature, which may be provided by typing your full legal name.
Creator content restriction requests
A verified creator or authorized rights holder may ask GoodFetch to restrict specifically identified media. When technically practical, GoodFetch may restrict the source URL, media identifier, or another stable reference linked to the report.
A GoodFetch restriction does not remove the original post from Instagram, TikTok, search engines or another service. Report hosted content directly to the platform as well, using its own reporting process.
Reviewing a copyright report
After receiving a sufficiently detailed request, GoodFetch may:
- Confirm receipt of the report.
- Request additional ownership or authorization information.
- Temporarily restrict the identified link while the request is reviewed.
- Restrict future processing of an identified URL or media reference.
- Reject a request that is incomplete, misleading, abusive or unsupported.
- Preserve limited records when reasonably necessary for legal compliance or dispute resolution.
- Share relevant parts of the request with a service provider, affected party or legal adviser.
Review times depend on the request, the information supplied, and any verification needed. Repeated copies of the same complaint do not speed up the review.
Mistakes and counter-notices
If you believe a link or media reference was restricted because of a mistake or misidentification, email contact@thegoodfetch.com with the subject line Copyright Counter-Notice.
Your message should include:
- Your full legal name and reliable contact information.
- Identification of the media or URL that was restricted.
- An explanation of why you believe the restriction resulted from a mistake or misidentification.
- Evidence of your ownership, permission, license or other lawful authority.
- Any statements, signature or jurisdictional consent required by the law relied upon in your request.
A counter-notice does not guarantee that processing will be restored. GoodFetch may keep the restriction while the parties resolve the dispute or another legal process remains pending.
False or misleading complaints
Do not submit a false claim, misrepresent ownership, impersonate a creator, or provide altered evidence. GoodFetch may reject abusive reports and restrict future submissions.
The sender is responsible for the accuracy of a complaint or counter-notice and for any legal consequences that result from a material misrepresentation.
Repeat infringement and attempts to bypass restrictions
GoodFetch may restrict access, requests, URLs, identifiers or technical patterns associated with repeated copyright infringement, fraudulent notices or attempts to evade a verified content restriction.
Enforcement decisions may consider the nature of the conduct, the reliability of the available information, previous reports and the technical measures reasonably available to the service.
Privacy of copyright submissions
A copyright report may contain personal and legally significant information. GoodFetch may use or disclose it to investigate the complaint, contact involved parties, enforce a restriction, obtain legal advice, or meet a valid legal obligation.
Do not include unrelated passwords, payment information, private media or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for reviewing the request. Additional information about data handling is available in the Privacy Policy.
No decision about legal ownership
GoodFetch may take practical steps after a credible complaint. It is not a court and does not make final decisions about ownership, infringement, licensing, fair use, or the public domain.
Disputes that cannot be resolved through this reporting process may need to be addressed between the relevant parties or through an appropriate legal authority.

Changes to this copyright policy
GoodFetch may update this policy when the service, reporting procedure or applicable requirements change. The effective date displayed near the top of this page identifies the current published version.
